Programming using Java. This class teaches students to analyze problems and provide solutions with appropriate computing requirements. It also teaches how to design, implement and evaluate computer-based programs, systems, processes, and components to meet desired needs. Lastly, it teaches how to apply design and development principles in the construction of software systems of varying complexity.
This course is intended for people who have no experience in computer science but would like to learn more about how computers work and how they can control them. You will learn basic computational principles and will have the opportunity to put them into practice. Computers and technology are driving phenomenal change in this world. This course will give you the power to help drive that change. No prior programming experience needed.
HTML & CSS are used together for developing user friendly, flexible, and attractive websites. HTML provides the structure of websites, which are enhanced and modified by other development tools like CSS and JavaScript. CSS is used to control presentation, formatting, and layout. JavaScript is used to control the behavior of different elements. This course will cover all the principles and components of HTML and CSS while focusing in web development.
In the last decade, we have seen an immense growth in the availability of data in all the sectors. This entire branch of science has changed the way marketing is conducted, to drive scientific progress in the area of Biomedical, Bioinfomatics, Oil & Gas to name a few. So, we interpret the term data science as the science of learning from data. As such, it draws on several disciplines, including aspects of Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, together with areas such as problem elicitation and formulation, collaboration and communication skills.

The reason I wanted to join this class is that I wanted to learn more
about how robots are programmed. What I actually learned is that there is a lot more
to programming than I ever expected. Janux makes learning so easy. I like how we
have the videos that give us step by step instructions on how to do things, but also
they have the coding bats that allow me to do my own thing and learn at the same
time.
I joined this class because I had previous experience with programming in LabVIEW and
I wanted to learn something new. I have learned a lot and have been inspired to go
into computer science for my future. I would love to go to OU for a masters in CS,
and this class showed me this. My skills as a programmer has grown exponentially and
I have Mr. Crowder and CodeSooner to thank for that.
Even though this is the pilot year for the program, you quickly realize that
CodeSooner has been well thought out. The platform we use, NEXTTHOUGHT, is very
intuitive and user friendly for the students and instructors. Also, for those
teachers out there with apprehension towards being able to teach a programming
course, well if this small own teacher can do it, YOU are more than equipped to
excel in it.
